Step into a meaningful role dedicated to supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting near Schaumburg, IL. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 9, 2027, and offers the chance to work full-time across elementary, middle, and high schools within a prominent district. With an itinerant schedule, each day will bring new settings and experiences as you collaborate with educational teams to help students of all ages, from Pre-K through transition-age (up to 22).

Key Qualifications:

  • Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Valid Illinois COTA licensure (required)
  • Preferably brings direct experience within school-based environments
  • Comfortable working across multiple school sites and adapting to varied starts and schedules
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Completion of fingerprinting and district credentialing before beginning assignment
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT, tailored to diverse student needs
  • Travel between assigned schools to deliver services and collaborate with special education teams
  • Document student progress and assist with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students’ participation in academics, self-care, and campus routines
  • Engage in ongoing communication with educators, families, and administrative staff to foster student progress
