Step into a rewarding and dynamic contract role supporting students across all grade levels in an innovative educational setting near Schaumburg, IL! We're seeking two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to work on-site with a vibrant school community, helping children and young adults develop essential skills. As part of an itinerant team, you'll make a difference in multiple schools, providing consistent and impactful therapy from Pre-K through transition-aged students.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active Illinois licensure required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for collaborating with diverse school teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across elementary, middle, and high school environments
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint background check as part of onboarding
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as prescribed, under the supervision of an OT, tailored to students’ unique needs and goals
  • Travel between multiple school sites within the district, adapting to varying schedules and caseload sizes
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support and integrate therapy into students’ academic routines
  • Maintain timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Provide support for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to optimize student participation
  • This position offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience while working in a supportive educational environment. The contract runs from your start date through June 9, 2027, with full-time hours of 35–37.5 per week, adapting to each assigned school’s schedule.
