Occupational Therapist (School-Based)

Contract Dates: August 2, 2026 – June 11, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time (School Calendar)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The OT will support students in developing the functional skills necessary for academic success and independent participation in school activities. This role involves collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide targeted therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with a range of physical, developmental, and sensory needs
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Establish measurable goals and track student progress through documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student outcomes
  • Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • NBCOT certification (preferred or required, depending on state)
  • Previous experience in a school setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and sensory integration
  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment
  • Familiarity with special education processes and IEP development

  • Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
