Role Overview

We are seeking two dedicated and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to join our educational team in Pontiac for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This role offers a unique level of professional autonomy, allowing clinicians to manage their own schedules while providing critical support to a diverse student population.

While the primary caseload focuses on Elementary and Middle School students, the ideal candidate should be versatile and prepared to provide services across the full PreK–12th grade spectrum as needed.

Position Details

  • Total Openings: 2 Positions available.

  • Hours: 35 hours per week.

  • Flexibility: Candidates have the autonomy to choose their own schedule within the standard school day parameters.

  • Caseload: Primarily Elementary and Middle School; must be comfortable with PreK-12th grade range.

  • Timeline: Primary contract for the 26’-27’ school year, with the possibility of starting earlier for the 25’-26’ Extended School Year (ESY).

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments.

  • Develop and implement individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.

  • Provide direct therapy services and interventions independently.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and progress reports.

  • Manage all standard duties of a school-based SLP with high levels of independence.

  • Requirements

  • Licensure: Must hold an active Michigan (Mi) State License in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Experience: Proven ability to perform all job duties independently.

  • Adaptability: Readiness to service various age groups and school environments.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
