School Occupational Therapist| Temecula, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting two elementary schools in the Murrieta, CA area as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. In this onsite-only role, you’ll provide skilled therapy services to approximately 80 students while also taking on a supervisory function, overseeing the work of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at one location. This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the current school year (6/4/2027) to cover an extended leave.

Key Qualifications:

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
Ability to manage a moderate caseload independently and efficiently
Competence in supervising and mentoring COTAs
Strong collaborative and communication skills for faculty, student, and parent interactions
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluate and implement individualized treatment plans for students, ensuring therapy goals align with IEP specifications
Deliver direct therapy services across two elementary sites, adapting plans as needed
Supervise and support the assigned COTA, providing guidance and feedback
Complete required documentation and progress reports to stay in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
Participate in meetings, consult with multidisciplinary teams, and provide support to staff and families regarding student needs
Maintain consistent communication with staff, parents, and related service providers
