Occupational Therapist School-Setting | Sanford, NC

Make a positive impact on students’ growth and development by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment. This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work full-time onsite supporting students' diverse needs throughout the academic year.

Essential Qualifications:

Valid and active NC Occupational Therapist (OT) license
Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
Thorough understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and document evaluations, progress, and outcomes
Committed to full onsite service delivery (remote work or virtual options are not permitted)
Effective at adapting interventions and instructional strategies to varied learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for students
Deliver direct therapy and consultation services in alignment with IEP goals
Liaise regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
Contribute to IEP meetings, document therapy sessions, collect data, and monitor progress
Support inclusive educational experiences and facilitate students’ participation in school routines
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
