Make a strong impact supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time contract role (37.5 hours/week) offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a difference in the lives of young learners. Your expertise will help students reach their communication goals, with the added support of an SLPA to assist in day-to-day workload management.

In this role, you’ll focus on assessments, conduct student evaluations, write and update IEPs, attend meetings, and deliver direct therapy to students. You will work across elementary school settings, and while the role is itinerant, travel time between assigned schools is paid. Administrative time and team meetings held within your contracted hours will be compensated as well, supporting a manageable workload and ensuring your professional contributions are fully recognized.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP license in Virginia is required
  • Experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
  • Strong background in conducting assessments and developing IEPs
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with an SLPA
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Motivated to make a lasting impact for elementary-aged students
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assessments and student evaluations
  • Write, review, and adjust IEPs as needed
  • Provide direct therapy services to eligible students
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, families, and administrators
  • Supervise SLPA and support distribution of workload
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
  • Uphold compliance with state/federal regulations and district policies
