This position supports K-12 students by helping them build essential skills for academic and personal success. With a flexible schedule of 30-35 hours across 3-4 days weekly, you’ll have the chance to focus on high-impact interventions while maintaining a great work-life balance. Assignments begin July 27, 2026, and continue through May 26, 2027, providing a full school year of meaningful experience.

What you'll need to excel in this role:

Valid Occupational Therapist license for Mississippi

Prior experience in a school setting preferred, though strong clinical pediatric backgrounds are also welcome

Strong understanding of IEP development and case management

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educators

Ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively and compassionately

Primary responsibilities will include:

Delivering direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse learning needs

Conducting assessments, setting measurable goals, and documenting student progress

Collaborating with teachers and other school professionals to ensure holistic support

Developing and maintaining student IEPs, providing input at team meetings as necessary

Engaging families in their child’s progress and sharing resources for at-home skill development
