Step into a fulfilling contract role providing key services to students across five schools in the district-wide region near Manteca, CA. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll work closely with a supervising OT to help approximately 65 students, ranging from preschool through 8th grade, achieve their educational and developmental goals. This assignment runs from July 30, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with the possibility of extending into the Extended School Year (ESY) if needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience in school settings, with familiarity supporting children aged pre-K through middle school.
  • Ability to adapt interventions for students with diverse needs.
  • Comfortable collaborating with supervising occupational therapists from another agency.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and required documentation.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, district-wide environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions and related services under OT supervision, following IEPs.
  • Work across multiple school sites as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Track student progress and assist in the preparation of reports and documentation.
  • Support group and individual therapy sessions focused on enhancing student participation in learning and daily life.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students’ functional and academic growth.
