This full-time opportunity is ideal for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with substantial experience in school settings or pediatrics. You’ll play a key role supporting an Occupational Therapist in a large, dynamic district on the southwest side of Houston, helping students aged 3–21 thrive.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Active Texas COTA licensure (required)
  • Significant experience in schools or extensive pediatric background (required)
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary school teams
  • Proficiency in conducting thorough evaluations and meaningful participation in ARDs
  • Familiarity with SHARES school health software and related documentation systems a plus
  • What You’ll Do:

  • Serve 6–7 schools within a designated zone—assignments are thoughtfully managed to limit your commute
  • Manage a caseload aimed around 70 students with a focus on consultative services; about 30–40 will require direct therapy, typically on a rotating schedule
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services, supporting IEP development and student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation using SHARES and Onward systems, plus Excel logging for IEP compliance
  • Schedule typically aligns with school hours (8:00–4:00 or 7:30–3:30)
  • Complete district-required fingerprinting (if not already on file)
