Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials
  • Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy approaches and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 15-20 students efficiently across multiple locations
  • Skilled in adapting therapy strategies to meet a variety of developmental and academic needs
  • Reliable transportation to travel between assigned school sites
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students ages Pre-K through high school, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
  • Implement treatment activities under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams to promote student success and inclusion
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress, attendance, and session outcomes as required by district standards
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and consultations to ensure continuity of care
  • Adapt intervention techniques to classroom requirements and diverse student needs
