A rewarding opportunity awaits Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants who are passionate about supporting students' growth and participation within an educational environment. This full-time, contract-based position involves itinerant service across multiple school sites, working with a diverse Pre K through age 22 caseload.

Work closely within school teams to facilitate students' ability to access and engage in academic and functional activities. Assignments may include elementary, middle, and high school settings, each with unique schedules and routines. This on-site, in-person position begins August 27, 2026, and runs through June 9, 2027. Candidates must be committed to providing outstanding school-based occupational therapy support for a broad spectrum of student needs and abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active educator license from Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting preferred
  • Ability to work itinerantly between school sites within the district
  • Compliance with time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprint clearance
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and team collaboration
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students from Pre K to transition age (22) across multiple campuses
  • Implement occupational therapy interventions in alignment with students’ IEPs or 504 plans
  • Collaborate and communicate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Participate in evaluation, progress monitoring, and documentation processes
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility to meet the varying start/end times and daily routines of assigned schools
