Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated occupational therapy professional working with school-aged children. Beginning August 12, 2026, and extending through November 3, 2026, this role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. You'll have the rewarding experience of making a positive difference in the lives of early intervention and elementary-aged learners—providing expert, compassionate care to a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Prior experience in pediatric settings, with preference for those who have worked in school environments
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Comfort and skill working with early intervention and elementary-aged children
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' needs using appropriate tools and develop targeted intervention strategies
  • Deliver direct therapy services individually and in small groups, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child’s educational goals
  • Maintain timely, accurate records and contribute to IEP development and meetings
  • Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for student accessibility and inclusion within the school environment
