Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapy licensure (OT)
  • State fingerprinting and background check required
  • Previous credentialing completed—a bonus!
  • Multiple years of pediatric or school-based OT/COTA experience highly preferred
  • Availability for full-time (37.5 hours/week) on-site work starting August 2026
  • Must not have been previously employed or terminated from any school district (affidavit required)
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide OT evaluations and treatment for students ages 3-21
  • Serve as a lead OT—no COTA support; manage caseload of approximately 70 (30-40 direct services, remainder consult only)
  • Document progress in SHARES (school health software), Onward, and Excel
  • Attend ARD meetings as required
  • Travel between 6–7 schools within a designated local zone
