Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license.
  • Solid foundation working in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings.
  • Experience or interest in educational therapy practices, IEP development, and implementing OT interventions for students.
  • Clear communication skills with students, teachers, and families.
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and able to tailor strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and collaboration duties.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized therapy programs to help students increase functional abilities in the educational setting.
  • Partner with teachers and other specialists to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities.
  • Conduct assessments, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings and goal-setting.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to parents and school staff regarding students’ progress and recommended resources.
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric/school-based OT.
