Qualifications and Experience:

  • California Occupational Therapist licensure (required)
  • Experience in school-based OT, specifically with elementary and PreK populations
  • Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and sensory integration techniques
  • Able to design and implement individualized plans based on students’ needs
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals
  • No COTA supervision required for this role
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OT services to students on an IEP, aged PreK through elementary
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement interventions
  • Educate and consult with teachers and families for effective classroom strategies
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
