Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with valid state licensure
  • Previous experience within a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and other support staff
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Capable of adapting to diverse student needs, including implementing creative, engaging therapy activities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to an elementary student caseload under OT supervision
  • Implement treatment plans that support students’ goals for fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
  • Assist in progress monitoring and contribute input for IEP meetings as needed
  • Provide resources and recommendations to teachers and families to promote generalization of skills in classroom and home environments
  • Participate in team meetings and continuing education as required by the assignment
