Empower students across K–12 by stepping into a contract opportunity delivering occupational therapy support throughout Hendry County. This dynamic school-based position offers the unique experience of serving multiple sites, giving you the chance to impact diverse student populations and collaborate with a variety of educational teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct occupational therapy interventions for students in kindergarten through grade 12
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families to address students’ individualized needs
  • Conducting assessments, documenting progress, and assisting with IEP goal development
  • Traveling between assigned schools within Hendry County as scheduled (assignments set prior to each school year)
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and in-service training as needed
  • Desired qualifications:

  • Current, active Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Relevant experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability, with comfort traveling between multiple locations within the county
