Embrace a balanced schedule—spanning two full days focused on direct service delivery and a half-day reserved for meetings and testing—designed to optimize support for both students and your professional growth.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Delaware (or eligibility to obtain)

Experience in school-based settings with elementary-aged students preferred

Strong knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies

Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Proficiency in developing and implementing IEP goals

Ability to manage caseloads and document progress efficiently

Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-6th grade students as outlined in their IEPs

Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans

Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and student evaluations (allocated during the half day)

Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic recommendations into the classroom

Maintain accurate, timely documentation of interventions and student progress

Foster positive relationships with students and families to support educational success
