Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports students in grades K-6, offering both direct intervention and collaboration with educators. The schedule is thoughtfully structured for 2 full days delivering direct services to students, with an additional half-day reserved for meetings and evaluations. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid and current Delaware Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations (K-6 preferred)
  • Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and goal setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and comfortable navigating school environments
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with IEPs, focusing on enhancing fine motor, sensory-processing, and functional abilities in classroom settings
  • Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility and annual meetings, and contribute to evaluations and testing during designated meeting time
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs and educational goals
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and student progress
  • Act as a resource for teachers and staff, offering strategies and support to promote student success across learning environments
