Sunbelt Therapy - Hospital - OT Contract Today Apply

Make a difference in patient care as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity involves treating a diverse adult and geriatric population, fostering recovery and independence for hospitalized patients. The position will require adaptability and strong collaboration skills as you float between multiple hospital settings.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week

Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts

Shift flexibility can be accommodated

Key Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license

Prior experience in an acute, inpatient, or hospital-based therapy setting

Solid understanding of adult and geriatric care

Skilled at assessing, planning, and executing patient-centered treatment plans

Comfort with floating between multiple hospital locations as necessary

Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team

Ability to manage time effectively and handle a fast-paced patient caseload

Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy treatment to patients with varied medical diagnoses

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy staff to optimize care plans

Evaluate and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Provide patient and family education regarding therapy plans and home care techniques

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and state/federal healthcare regulations

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning
