Make a difference in patient care as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity involves treating a diverse adult and geriatric population, fostering recovery and independence for hospitalized patients. The position will require adaptability and strong collaboration skills as you float between multiple hospital settings.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts
  • Shift flexibility can be accommodated
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license
  • Prior experience in an acute, inpatient, or hospital-based therapy setting
  • Solid understanding of adult and geriatric care
  • Skilled at assessing, planning, and executing patient-centered treatment plans
  • Comfort with floating between multiple hospital locations as necessary
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a fast-paced patient caseload
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy treatment to patients with varied medical diagnoses
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy staff to optimize care plans
  • Evaluate and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Provide patient and family education regarding therapy plans and home care techniques
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and state/federal healthcare regulations
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning
