As a licensed Occupational Therapist, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to support students’ academic and developmental success. What you’ll need:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet a range of student needs
  • Commitment to professional excellence and ethical practice
  • Key responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
  • Develop and implement targeted OT interventions and IEP goals
  • Support teachers in integrating sensory and motor strategies into the classroom
  • Document progress and maintain clear, compliant records
  • Engage families in the therapeutic process and foster skills for generalization at home
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
