Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
  • Previous experience in school settings highly preferred
  • Solid grasp of school-based IEP processes and reporting
  • Proficient with teletherapy and traditional in-person therapy modalities
  • Strong skills in developing students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive functions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, educators, and families
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Utilize teletherapy for remote support when needed
  • Assess, plan, and implement intervention strategies to address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communications
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for goal development
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches based on individual student needs and school protocols
