What you’ll bring:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure for Illinois
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric environments is highly valued
  • Ability to collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, and school staff
  • Solid communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion and adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs
  • Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to K-6 students as prescribed in their IEPs or intervention plans
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapist for evaluation, documentation, and ongoing treatment planning
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of activities to nurture fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation
  • Monitor and record student progress, making timely adjustments to interventions and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, support staff trainings, and family engagement as needed
  • This contract runs from ASAP through end of school year, offering you the chance to impact students’ lives and further your clinical skills in a supportive, professional environment. The assignment is full-time, at 35 hours per week, based in a welcoming elementary building.
