Make a meaningful impact supporting students in the Leesburg and Claremont areas as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant through a full-time school-based contract. This rewarding position serves a diverse caseload of K-5 students, with some Pre-K involvement, across four schools. Working closely with occupational therapists and school teams, you’ll help students develop essential skills for classroom participation and daily life.

This is an itinerant on-site role, Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, following a traditional school year schedule (August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
  • School experience is strongly preferred, though not mandatory
  • Comfortable serving K-5 and select Pre-K students across multiple campuses
  • Ability to travel between schools as assigned (not all schools daily)
  • Stellar communication and adaptability in fast-paced settings
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students on a defined caseload under the guidance of an OT
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory-motor, and self-care skills
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff on student goals
  • Document services, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Adhere to district procedures and timely onboarding processes for credentialing
