Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • National certification as a COTA and active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working in school settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and able to motivate young learners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering individualized and group therapy services to help students access their curriculum and daily routines
  • Implement treatment plans focused on fine motor skills, self-care, sensory needs, and classroom participation
  • Document student progress and collaborate in IEP meetings when needed
  • Adapt activities and materials to support student growth and independence
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student goals and progress
