Ideal Experience & Skills:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials required
  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Ability to follow treatment plans designed by Occupational Therapists
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet students’ changing needs in a school environment
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and the educational sector is a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapy sessions under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, supporting students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
  • Implement goals and activities to help students succeed academically and socially
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify classroom environments or assignments for accessibility
  • Document student progress and responses to interventions accurately
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and ongoing professional development
  • Adjust techniques and interventions as needed to address each student's unique challenges
