Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment, serving a diverse caseload across multiple school sites near Aurora, IL. Work closely with students from Pre-K through transition age (up to 22), helping them develop essential life and academic skills in a supportive school community.

What you'll bring:

  • Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Valid educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy is strongly preferred
  • Expertise working with pediatric populations, including students with varied needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing school settings and schedules
  • Commitment to timely credentialing, including completion of required fingerprinting
  • Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high schools as assigned
  • Collaborate with educators, district therapists, and support staff to implement student therapy plans
  • Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Travel between schools within the district as part of an itinerant model
  • Promote student independence and participation in school activities
  • Guide classroom staff with strategies for in-classroom support
