Make an immediate impact in K-12 education by supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 18, 2027, serving students across Monroe and Mason Public Schools in Michigan’s eastern Monroe County region. As a vital member of the educational team, you will help create an inclusive and supportive environment for learners with a variety of needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan COTA or OT license (provide verification upon application)
  • Demonstrated experience working in school settings
  • Skilled in supporting students with disabilities
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Committed to maintaining high professional standards and confidentiality
  • Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite occupational therapy services to K-12 students under an Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to develop and implement therapy plans tailored to student goals
  • Perform assessments and document progress to ensure students receive the right interventions
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to enhance student success and independence
  • Adapt activities and instructional materials to support participation across various educational settings
  • This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference daily while working a consistent 35-hour week on a supportive, engaged team. Travel to multiple schools within the eastern Monroe County region may be required to meet student needs.
