Virtual School Occupational Therapist | Remote Pediatric OT Services

Job Description

An Ohio school district is seeking a skilled Virtual School Occupational Therapist to provide remote occupational therapy consultation and support services for students with a variety of educational needs. This telehealth opportunity is designed for an OT who enjoys helping students improve functional skills, independence, and participation within the school environment.

The selected candidate will collaborate with teachers, families, and special education professionals to develop strategies that promote student success. This position provides the flexibility of working remotely while continuing to deliver meaningful school-based therapy services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual occupational therapy services and consultations for students.
  • Review student needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Support fine motor, sensory, executive functioning, and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to implement strategies.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and team discussions.
  • Maintain therapy documentation and progress updates.
  • Skills

  • Strong pediatric occupational therapy knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to provide recommendations in a virtual setting.
  • Comfortable using digital communication platforms.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Qualifications

  • Ohio Occupational Therapist license or eligibility.
  • Experience providing pediatric OT services.
  • Knowledge of school-based therapy practices.
  • Understanding of special education procedures preferred.
  • Experience

  • Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
  • Telehealth experience is a plus but not required.
  • Education

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Work Hours

  •  Eastern Time
  • 37.5 hours per week
