Occupational Therapist (School-Based) – Contract Position
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school district in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This contracted position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic success and daily functioning by providing occupational therapy services across a school-based setting. The caseload is currently being determined and may include students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs related to educational performance.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in accordance with IEP requirements.
• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with a variety of physical, developmental, sensory, and functional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding student accommodations and services.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Consult with school staff regarding classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and strategies to enhance student participation.

Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students across a diverse age range and disability spectrum.
