Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility)
  • Familiarity with implicit bias, culturally responsive teaching, and anti-racist practices
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and whole child social, emotional, and behavioral support methods
  • Knowledge of child development, learning styles, and racial equity frameworks
  • Awareness of laws regarding confidentiality, mandated reporting, Special Education, and related district and state policies
  • Willingness to train in restraint/aversive intervention practices
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in planning, implementing, and refining OT programs and IEPs
  • Deliver therapy services for Pre-K to Elementary students across three schools
  • Support continuous improvement of occupational therapy practice within educational settings
  • Contribute to fostering an equitable, safe, and inclusive school environment
