Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license (IDFPR required)
  • Previous experience in school-based OT is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Ability to support students at all grade levels—early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage diverse caseloads and school environments
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support students’ participation in educational activities
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress according to school and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
