Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist, supporting students across a close-knit district near Granbury, TX. This contract position starts no earlier than August 18th, pending board approval on August 17th. You'll collaborate with an established team of two OTs and a COTA, helping to provide essential therapy services for approximately 200 students who currently receive OT support among 1,300 total special education students.

This assignment offers a blend of on-site and remote work to fit your professional needs and lifestyle. You’ll spend three days each week visiting schools in person, with the flexibility to complete up to two days from home based on your caseload. Onsite schedules generally run 7:30 am–3:30 pm at elementary schools and 8:00 am–4:00 pm at secondary sites, though you’ll have the autonomy to manage your hours as long as responsibilities and ARD meeting times are respected.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and ARD meetings
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility and an independent, solution-driven approach to caseload management
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely documentation
  • Attend and contribute to ARD/IEP meetings as scheduled
  • Work seamlessly with other OTs, COTAs, and education staff to support student success
  • Adapt to changing schedules, back-to-school activities, and multiple site needs
