This part-time contract position will see you collaborating across two middle schools, with the potential to lend your expertise at the elementary level. Enjoy the stability of a full academic year's assignment, beginning August 2026 and concluding May 2027.

Your primary focus will be a thoughtfully balanced caseload of approximately 25 students, blending direct therapy for 10 students and consultative services for the remainder. The role offers both autonomy and support, with a flexible, 20-hour workweek—ideal for professionals seeking to complement a clinical position or customize their schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and consultation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Must initiate VA Dept. of Social Services check promptly upon acceptance
  • TB test required prior to start date
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group OT interventions to students
  • Provide consultative services to educators and families for student success
  • Conduct evaluations as needed throughout the school year
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district protocols
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Engage with colleagues, school administrators, and the Lead OT to support the OT program
