Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract role, starting August 11, 2026 and ending May 26, 2027, offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the school environment. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 3:00pm, providing specialized support to a dedicated caseload of approximately 18 students in grades 9-12, many of whom present with complex needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy licensure required
  • Experience working in a school-based OT setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by high school students with diverse and complex needs
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to high school students according to their unique needs and therapy goals
  • Assess students’ abilities and develop appropriate treatment plans to foster participation and functional independence within the school setting
  • Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input regarding students’ progress and ongoing needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation of services, assessments, and progress notes in line with school policies and requirements
