Bring your expertise in pediatric occupational therapy to a meaningful setting and make a difference in the lives of young learners! This part-time, contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting early childhood students near the North Chicago area. Work collaboratively with dedicated educators Monday through Friday, contributing up to 24 hours per week to deliver compassionate and effective therapy in a vibrant school environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Holds current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrates experience in pediatric or special education settings (preferred)
  • Understands best practices for supporting early childhood development and learning
  • Flexible and able to travel between school sites within the district as required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered care
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ needs to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster optimal student outcomes
  • Document therapeutic interventions and maintain accurate, timely records
  • Adapt and modify activities and environments to support student participation and independence
  • Provide consultative support and resources to school staff for classroom-based interventions
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities relevant to occupational therapy in schools
