Step into a rewarding opportunity as a part-time Occupational Therapist, working three days a week with elementary students. This contract position offers 24 hours per week at school sites near Roseville, CA. Your expertise will support young learners in achieving their fullest potential while also providing essential supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active, valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license for California
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred
  • Confidence in overseeing and guiding a COTA’s daily activities and ensuring compliance with treatment plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators and family members
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and therapy plan development for school-aged children
  • Ability to manage multiple caseloads across elementary-level students
  • Role Expectations:

  • Assess and develop individualized OT programs for students ranging from mild to moderate need
  • Deliver therapy sessions on-site at elementary schools, fostering student participation and progress
  • Supervise and support the COTA; review and co-sign documentation and offer mentorship
  • Participate actively in students’ IEP meetings, providing professional input and collaborative goal-setting
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records of student progress, sessions, and communication
  • Consult and coordinate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure holistic support
