Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in an Adaptive Behavior Learning Environment (ABLE) program. Located near South Holland, IL, this full-time role supports a diverse group of 34 students, providing essential therapy services that empower learners to achieve their fullest potential in school settings.

As a valued OT, you’ll work a consistent schedule from 8:00am to 3:00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), delivering targeted interventions and strategies that foster independence and success for students with varying needs. The role calls for collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance each child's learning experience while promoting a positive school environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Experience within school-based or pediatric environments preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable managing a caseload across K-12 grade levels
  • Knowledge or experience with adaptive behavior or special education programs is an asset
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services for students in the ABLE program
  • Document progress and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
  • Adapt intervention strategies to accommodate diverse student needs
