An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to serve as a floater for the next school year. This contract position offers the chance to provide valuable support across several educational sites near Springfield, MA, working with students ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade.

This role is set to begin in early September 2026 and continue until the end of June 2027. The weekly commitment is 29 hours, with possible accommodation up to 30 hours if needed. Schedules will include a blend of time across multiple campuses, which will give you variety in your day-to-day experience. You will collaborate closely with school-based teams to help deliver quality occupational therapy services, adapting support to meet the specific needs of each student.

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Massachusetts.
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse age group, from Pre-K through high school.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing caseloads and schedules.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Support students’ functional needs in academic and social settings.
  • Rotate between multiple campuses, ensuring consistent therapy and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote students’ academic and developmental goals.
