Make a meaningful impact in educational settings with an exciting contract opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) near Taylors, SC. Starting August 4th, 2026, and continuing through May 27th, 2027—including pre and post planning days—you’ll support students as part of a school-based team in the Simpsonville and/or Greer area. You’ll provide crucial direct services over two days each week (7.5 hours per day, totaling 15 hours per week), making a tangible difference for students in their school environment.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license for South Carolina
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly preferred
  • Proficiency collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities
  • A passion for working with children and facilitating student growth
  • Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students (typically 8-10 per day) in 30-minute sessions
  • Partner with an on-site OTR supervisor to ensure quality care and compliance with student goals
  • Document progress, session outcomes, and collaborate in developing individual student plans
  • Consult and coordinate with teachers and parents to promote student success within the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights from a COTA perspective
