Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required)
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for a range of ages and developmental stages (K-12)
  • Strong organization and communication abilities with teachers, families, and other specialists
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities, motor skills, and need for occupational therapy interventions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on achieving educational goals as part of the IEP process
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions and consult on adaptive strategies or classroom modifications
  • Document progress and maintain thorough, timely records in compliance with school policies
  • Team with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student success and participation in the school environment
  • Educate staff and families on therapy techniques and supports that can be carried over outside of therapy sessions
