Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona Occupational Therapist License
  • Possession of an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address a range of student needs
  • Adaptability and organizational skills for managing a varied caseload
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
  • Develop and execute individualized intervention plans to support participation in the educational environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff, for holistic student success
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress towards targeted goals
  • Document services rendered and progress reports in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and advocating for student accommodations or services
