Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • At least one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric environment
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional development as required by state and district guidelines
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Plan and implement therapeutic activities tailored to individual students’ educational and developmental needs
  • Monitor, document, and collaborate on students’ progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary
  • Foster effective communication with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records that meet all state and district standards
