Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to PreK–8th grade students as outlined in IEPs
  • Assess students to determine therapy needs and create treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student development
  • Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Educate school staff and families about strategies to support students' motor and adaptive skills
  • Travel between schools or classrooms as required
