In this opportunity, you will provide essential occupational therapy services across multiple elementary schools, engaging with approximately 80 students as part of a larger special education team. You will have the benefit of support from a dedicated full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring students receive comprehensive, individualized care.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in California
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
  • Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to multiple school environments
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support students’ educational goals
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Provide therapy sessions in group and one-on-one settings, both in classrooms and designated therapy spaces
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to the COTA
