Step into a dynamic school-based therapy role providing essential support to students across Pre-K through 12th grade. In this contract opportunity, you’ll have the chance to make an immediate difference in a district-wide setting, covering an FMLA leave during the beginning of the 2026–27 school year. While preference is given to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), applications from Occupational Therapists (OT) with active Connecticut credentials are also welcomed.

This full-time assignment begins August 27, 2026, and is projected for approximately 12 weeks, with a strong potential for extension. Your commitment to fulfilling the maternity leave duration is crucial, as the first contract strictly covers this defined period.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Connecticut COTA license/certification (CT DPH & NBCOT) or valid Connecticut OT license
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to work with students of varying needs from Pre-K through high school
  • Reliable transportation for district-wide travel
  • Comfort with temporary assignments and strong adaptability
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services under an OT’s supervision (for COTA)
  • Assess student needs and carry out individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate progress documentation
  • Support students with varied disabilities and learning profiles
