Step into a crucial role supporting young learners as a contract Occupational Therapist in a vibrant PreK environment. ProCare Therapy is seeking a Occupational Therapist for a school-based, contracted position near Wickham Crossing, VA. This opportunity runs from the end of July through mid-October, covering a valued team member’s maternity leave. With one school to support and a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you’ll make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners at a pivotal stage of their development.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for Virginia
  • Early Intervention Endorsement required
  • Previous experience in a school-based, pediatric, or early intervention OT setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working alongside educators, support staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs in PreK-age children
  • Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care
  • Responsibilities

  • Evaluating students and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to developmental needs
  • Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services in cooperation with teachers and staff
  • Monitoring student progress, maintaining thorough records, and communicating updates to families and school teams
  • Supporting the creation of accessible, accommodating classroom environments
  • Participating in team meetings to assess student outcomes and adjust approaches as needed
