Embark on an enriching contract opportunity making a difference as a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. Located in the Lovington, NM area, this position serves a range of K–12 students, helping them overcome barriers and maximizing their ability to participate fully in school life. The assignment runs from August 2024 through May 2025, offering 37 hours each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based treatment for students with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities affecting educational participation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to develop individualized intervention plans and monitor progress
  • Deliver school-based occupational therapy services, track student outcomes, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Guide and educate school staff on strategies that support student success in the classroom
  • Take part in team meetings, support compliance with regulatory standards, and actively participate in the therapy community within the school
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license and current state licensure/certification
  • Experience providing occupational therapy in a school-based setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse student populations from kindergarten through high school
