Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in North Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience working with children or within educational settings is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs
  • Passion for fostering growth and independence in children with diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify student needs and develop targeted occupational therapy interventions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within classroom settings
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans that help students improve academic participation, motor skills, self-care, and overall independence
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress reports, and compliance with all school and state requirements
  • Partner with families to provide guidance, share progress, and recommend strategies that generalize skills beyond the classroom
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and team initiatives
