As a valued member of the special services team, you’ll support students in reaching their fullest potential by providing tailored occupational therapy interventions. This assignment runs from November 2, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a consistent weekly commitment of 37.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Occupational Therapist license for the state of North Carolina
  • Previous experience working in school settings as an OTR preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and applications in academic environments
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple schools if needed
  • Detail-oriented approach to documentation and IEP processes
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students to determine needs for occupational therapy intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote participation in school activities
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined by IEPs
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with school teams and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
  • Flexibility to provide support at more than one school site, as required
